Shani

Shani is simply magnificent. A point-making machine. Shani is the clear choice for a competition hybrid bow

Those who want the most stable and precise hybrid bow choose the Shani. Thanks to the more massive riser, it is possible to achieve greater weight and therefore an even smoother shot. The profile of the Shani bow is based on previous experience with the Tameri bow and was created as a variant with stiffer limb ends. The strongly deflected riser and a gentle reflex at the end of the limbs increase limb stability and give the feeling of a smooth, soft draw. The Shani is thus a slightly improved D longbow. It is fast, very precise, quiet and without handshock.

The riser of the bow consists of hard domestic and exotic woods as Shedua, Zebrano, Jatoba, Ipe, Wenge, Ash, Maple and Walnut  interspaced with thin color fiberglass reinforcement. The wood is pre-cut to segments, carefully selected and glued again. This enables higher toughness, stability and absorption capability of the riser. I consider the design of the riser that consists of hard woods and fiberglass to be an ideal solution from the point of esthetics, bow properties and safety.

The limbs are made of a core of bamboo and other lightweight wood laminations and, depending on the design, fiberglass or carbon laminate. Single cross carbon (SCX) version has a carbon on backing and a transparent or black fiberglass on the belly. Double cross carbon (DCX) has both laminates of 100% carbon.

There is a veneer under the transparent fiberglass. It serves one main purpose to show and celebrate the natural beauty of the wood. The choice of the veneer and wood type is down to personal preferences of each and every archer.

Every Shani bow is varnished with 5 layers of matt 2 PUR varnish. The bow can be customized with brass inserts UNC 10-24 for a bow quiver mount. The grip can be dressed in leather on request.
