Tabia is a female Egyptian name expressing gift and talent

I have a soft spot for hybrid bow. It is my number one choice bow regardless of the competition categories. I like the smooth reflex and deflex line of these bows that expresses visually their mechanical and functional properties. Subtlety, smoothness and spontaneity. Both while drawing and release. That is the main reason for growing popularity of hybrid bows. Hybrid bow combines advantages of reflex and longbows. It is fast, silent and with near zero handshock. While constructing Tabia my brief was to touch the borderline of two bow categories. This time it was the line between hybrid and reflex bow. I wasn’t successful the first time round but the fourth. There is a problem with the limbs stability with strong reflex ends of the limbs unless the string sits on the limb as with the reflex bow. The rule “the more, the better” doesn’t work here. I am more than happy with yet another successful solution and I can offer you another well tuned and, shooting wise, very pleasing bow.

The bow riser is made of black fiberglass and hard exotic woods such as Shedua, Zebrano, Jatoba, Ipe, Wenge, Maple, Ash, Acacia, Black Walnut and others. The wood is pre-cut into slices and re-glued after sanding. This achieves its higher stiffness, stability and damping ability. Reinforcements made of colored fiberglass and effect pearl casts made of epoxy expand the possibilities of configuring your bow even more individually. Before painting the wood of the bow riser is surface stabilized with epoxy and then the entire bow is painted with several layers of matte 2k PUR varnish.

The limbs are made of a weakened core made of bamboo or other light woods and various types of laminates. The thickness of the limb core is individually calculated for each bow with regard to the required weight of the bow. The belly of the bow can be black or decorated with wooden veneer.

SCX (Single cross carbon) has carbon on the back and fiberglass on the belly.

DCX (Double cross carbon) has both laminates made of 100% carbon.

Each Tabia comes with a glued velvet rest, Dynaflight 97 or Spectra 652 string, Angel Majesty center serving and wool silencers.

Tabia bow is made in the following lengths:

  • 62″    for max. draw length 27″ Recommended brace height is 7,00″ to 7,50″
  • 64″    for max. draw length 29″ Recommended brace height is 7,00″ to 7,50″
  • 66″    for max. draw length 31″ Recommended brace height is 7,50″ to 8,00″

Tabia fulfills all requirements for competitions in longbow class under WA and HDHIAA associations.
